Review
Stone of Destiny is a good hidden object game which does not offers anything new or unique but provides a fun experience with high production values. The game tells the story of a a man whose uncle disappears under strange circumstances, leaving behind a strange book and an envelope with a list of objects inside. In each location, there are always 10 items to find. When you collect them all, a shape of a rune is revealed and you must recreate it by drawing it with the mouse in the middle of the incantation circle. If you are successful, the rune will be recorded in your book. Once you have all the runes, then you will be able to open the final gate leading to the Stone of Destiny. If you get stuck, you can always ask for a hint which will instantly reveal the location of one your missing items. After clearing each set of locations, you pass through a portal that presents you a puzzle to solve. These puzzles are challenging and fun, and there is a great 3D animation sequence that follows whenever you manage to solve one. The game only includes 25 relatively easy levels, so it's on the short side. It features great graphics and a mysterious atmosphere which provides an enjoyable experience. I think the game has been designed for novice hidden object gamers, since advanced gamers may find a little bit easy and boring. |
